Abstract :
This study has investigated the effect of humus soil activated sludge on the nitrogen and phosphorus removal. The results from experiments indicate that humus soil SBR (HS-SBR) process did not have a better effect on the COD removal compared it with SBR process. They had about 89% removal efficiency on average. HS-SBR process could enhance the removal of nutrient salt, especially TP. The removal efficiency of TN and TP was 80.5% and 90.8%, higher than SBR process by 11.05% and 20.5% respectively. At the typical cycle, HS-SBR could fast deplete organic and enhance nitrification and denitrification. HS-SBR could enhance the phosphorus removal, but the mechanism should go deep into study.
