Research on Ports Cooperation in China Tianjin and Hebei Area Based on Factor Analysis

Recently, the Tianjin and Hebei area has become one of the fastest developing areas in China. As the hub of logistics, the port system plays an important role in further boosting the region´s economic development. This paper starts with an overview of port logistics in Hebei and Tianjin and then identifies the necessity of port cooperation in this area. An index system for port logistics competition is proposed on the basis of the connotation of port logistics competition. By using factor analysis, port logistics competition of each port in this area is evaluated. The results can be used to guide the positioning and development of each port based on its own advantages. Thus, the strength of the port logistics of the whole area can be improved.
