Abstract
An equation was developed over a period of several years, that provides an explicit relationship between the impedance-matching bandwidth, the antenna Q, the maximum allowed reflection coefficient magnitude (or VSWR), and the impedance matching circuit complexity (number of tuned stages). It was developed using Harold A. Wheeler´s methodology. The details of its development are presented in this paper.
