  • Abstract
    This paper considers different approaches to overcome the problem of windup which occurs when an unstable controller is subjected to input saturation or multi-mode operation. A summary is given of current approaches which appear in the literature together with some results of on-going work to develop a new strategy based on an H∞ optimisation framework.
