Abstract :
This paper proposes a lower complexity QRD-M algorithm based on VBLAST for MIMO-OFDM systems. The proposed algorithm (SQOC) firstly uses the sorted QR decomposition (SQRD), then chooses a center point and its neighboring points for candidate points by looking up the points table, combining with the ordered serial interference cancellation (OSIC) for selecting the survival points. The proposed algorithm can significantly reduce the complexity comparing with the conventional QRD-M algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves the performance nearing to the Maximum likelihood detection (MLD) algorithm, obtaining a better tradeoff between complexity and performance, and is convenient for hardware implementation.
