Abstract
A new suboptimal bang-bang control technique is proposed to improve the performance of switching power converters. Theoretical analysis and computational steps are presented to illustrate the effectiveness yet realization simplicity of the proposed control strategy. The application of the proposed methodology to a boost converter model has shown an improved performance with faster transient response with minimum overshoot in the terminal voltage and minimized current ripple.
