Agricultural knowledge service model in a network environment

Agricultural knowledge service is a new component of agricultural information development in the knowledge economy age. This article first explores and specifies the meaning of knowledge services and on that basis defines the concept of agricultural knowledge services. The authors then analyze the current state of China´s agricultural knowledge services and the basic conditions and involved in their launch in China. Second, the authors propose innovations for China to establish a standardized service platform for agricultural knowledge services in a network environment, and suggest that we should cooperate in the development of shared resources to the greatest possible degree, develop an agricultural warehouse, and implement personalized services. With these proposals as a model, the authors describe some specific forms for agricultural knowledge services to develop into. Finally, the authors propose some strategies and measures to guarantee the realization of agricultural knowledge services.
