Abstract :
CMV 2006 is the 4th conference on coordinated and multiple views in exploratory visualization. The aim of this conference is to bring together top researchers in the area to demonstrate the state of the art, stimulate discussion, illuminate open research questions, and debate ideas and future opportunities. This year we received 16 submissions. Each paper has been reviewed by several members of the international program committee (in most cases by four or five reviewers). Of these, nine papers have been accepted for oral presentation and appear in this volume. The selected papers demonstrate the breadth of this area, detail solutions toward some of the challenges, and allow the reader to further study this exciting research area.
