Abstract
Cloud computing platform has become one of the most significant computing platforms in recent years. It dynamically allocates, deploy, redeploy and cancel the cloud services on the basis of demands. However, cloud computing inevitably poses new security challenges because traditional security mechanisms being followed are insufficient to safeguard the cloud assets. Recently, time-bound ticket-based mutual authentication scheme has been proposed for cloud computing. This paper shows that the scheme is vulnerable to Denial-of-Service attack and insecure password change phase. To overcome these security pitfalls, an enhanced scheme is also proposed. Performance comparison shows that the enhanced scheme is efficient one.
