Abstract :
The need to eliminate the backward traveling wave in HARP (harmonic auto-resonant peniotron) interactions is demonstrated. The theory and design of a ring-type resonant cavity to achieve this are described. It is shown that this cavity can support high-efficiency HARP interactions.<>
