Abstract :
This presentation analyzes the problem of energy transfer in Pr3+ doped, VUV-excited phosphors. Results of detailed spectroscopic investigation of the RE3+, Pr3+:YF3 system are presented. Possible solutions for the enhancement of the Pr3+ rarr RE3+ transfer are also discussed.
