Abstract :
We consider the design of wide-band pulse-echo imaging arrays from the point of view of the sum coarray. The interplay of array locations, array weighting, pulse shape and bandwidth is used to achieve better designs of imaging array configurations. Design examples are also provided for systems using 1-D arrays
