Abstract :
This paper proposes an ionospheric clutter region detection method in RD map to locate the clutter region for mitigation, evaluate system performance, and aid to frequency selection. Statistical analysis based on the region detection is used for target detection in HF radar when the target falls in the region of ionospheric clutter.
