Abstract
In this paper, we designed a tangible interface with a personal ID tag that interacts with an ambient information system. An ID tag is equipped with a vibrator, an embedded accelerometer sensor, and an RFID tag. In the suggested system, users can not only retrieve and store information, but customize interaction patterns with the ID tag that can be best suited to personal preferences. Patterns of tangible interaction are classified with a probabilistic algorithm developed in the study that use signal data from five different axes of the accelerometer sensor.
