Abstract :
A compact planar monopole antenna is investigated to cover 870-2450 MHz band. This antenna is an inverted E-shaped monopole with a T-stub ground plane. Influence of asymmetry on bandwidth is discussed. We found that asymmetry can further help improve impedance match with VSWR less than two within the whole desired band.
