Abstract :
The output spectrum of a Wiener-Hammerstein (nonlinear) system is studied when the input signal consists of white gaussian noise superimposed on a general waveform s(t). Classical approaches where signal and noise were treated separately are no longer valid for this nonlinear problem. Both signal and noise gain depend not only on the system but also on the properties of s(t). The noise gain however is showed to approximate a linear dependency on the total power of s(t).
