Abstract :
A new method permitting to form on one surface of substrates an area with planar and homeotropic orientation of molecules of LC is developed. These areas have clear boundary and are divided by disclination line. This method will allow to expand the sphere of application of liquid crystals, and also to improve the characteristics of different devices using LC.
