Abstract :
This paper presents a method to retrieve a 2D picture from the output of several noncoherent radar sensors. In the special case presented, three 24 GHz PN sensors, spaced so that they would fit into the bumper of a car, acquire distance and amplitude information, each sensor separately. From this information, the processing unit calculates the target locations within a 2D-field. The field of view in the presented case is 30 degrees, and the theoretical maximum range is 169 m.
