Abstract :
In this paper, we proposed microstrip antenna that embedded global star personal mobile satellite communication(receive band : 1.610~1.6265 GHz, transmission band 2.4835~2.500 GHz) terminal. The proposed antenna designed to gain characteristics of circular polarization. Folded structure and plate structure for microstrip were used by changing into 3-dimensional structure. And stacked structure designed to obtain characteristics of dual band circular polarization. Antenna size is length 24 mm times width 46 mm times height 13 mm. The measurement results showed, in the case receive band, -10 dB bandwidth is 80 MHz (5%)), the bandwidth below axial ratio 3.5 dB is 18 MHz, the gain of x-axis pol. is -1.4 dB, and HPBW of the E and H plane is 77deg, 79deg, respectively. In the case of transmission band, -10 dB bandwidth is 163 MHz(10%), the bandwidth below axial ratio 3.5 dB is 20 MHz, the gain of x-axis pol. is -1 dBd, and HPBW of the E and H plane is 133deg, 69deg, respectively. Therefore we can confirm that the designed antenna satisfied personal mobile satellite communication terminal.
