Abstract
A reconfigurable multiple-band planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) integrated with switches is presented. Two switches are inserted into the T-shaped slot on rectangular patch and by making these two switches ON and OFF the effective electrical length of the antenna could be changed. The antenna can work not only at GSM, but also DCS, PCS, Bluetooth/WLAN 2.4 GHz bands. This reconfigurable antenna with the characteristics of light weight, small dimension and low cost, can be used in multiple-band for integrated wireless communication system.
