Abstract :
An innovative leaky wave antenna is proposed and studied in this paper. The antenna makes use of a transmission waveguide based on the concept of spoof surface plasmons, and it can maintain its radiation properties over a huge wideband with a low Side Lobe Level (SLL) and low cross-polarization. As a final result, a GRIN (Gradient Index) lens has been proposed to obtain a broadside radiation pattern.
