Abstract :
To satisfy environmental constraints and to get better performance, modern Diesel engines are more and more complex. However, the least failure can degrade engine performances and increase pollutant emissions. This paper proposes a diagnosis strategy to detect and isolate some faults which may occur. This strategy uses nonlinear observers and the engine model to genarate residuals.
