Abstract :
A novel practical design method for multi-input nonlinear system called improved physical exact linearization, which is based on external linearization via feedback, is presented in this paper. Using this approach, the improved nonlinear excitation control (INLEC) of dual-excited synchronous generators is developed. The proposed control scheme is quite robust while the operation point and the configuration of power system are changed. The simulation results on a single machine infinite bus power system are quite convincing
