Abstract :
This paper puts forward a new color image encryption method. Since the logistic map does not satisfy consistent distribution, an improved logistic map is proposed, which has a better random distribution than the general logistic map. Firstly, the improved logistic map is used to confuse the color image, and then diffuse the confused image with a four-dimensional hyper-chaotic sequence. In the diffusion encryption, three variables are chosen from four combined variables of the hyper-chaotic system to generate four different combinations. XOR operation is conducted between the chosen combination and the confused image, thus getting the final encrypted image. The experimental results demonstrate that this algorithm has advantages of large key space and high security, and moreover, it is sensitive to the secret keys and can resist against noise and cutting attack.
