Abstract :
Determination of the field distribution in LEMP environment and estimation of channel current in lightening all require accurate measurement of magnetic fields. A three-loop fiber-optic transmission probe is designed for measurement of LEMP magnetic fields in three dimensions. The sensor is designed to measure the real value rather than the derivative of the incident field, which is convenient for vector synthesize and magnitude analysis. The design of the measurement system and verification of the characteristics are discussed in this paper.
