Abstract :
This paper presents a new technique to find zeros of a real, linear phase, FIR filter. Properties of Z-transform and constraints on location of zeros for this type of filter have been used to reduce search space for zeros. Furthermore, the obtained information on zeros is subsequently used in WDK formulas to obtain more accurate and precise location of zeros. Simulation results validating the proposed technique are also presented.
