Abstract :
A new measurement technique for polarization mode dispersion (PMD) in a single mode fiber based on measurements of maximum and minimum polarization dependent gain in fiber Raman amplifier is proposed. Birefringence correlation and beat lengths as a function of wavelength were also measured.
