Abstract :
Dielectric or magnetic materials are used frequently in very small normal-mode helical antennas. In this paper, changes of self-resonant structures and antenna efficiencies are clarified. It is shown that magnetic materials can reduce antenna diameters and increase antenna efficiencies. Moreover, modifications of self-resonant equations in using materials are studied.
