  • Abstract
    A robust watermarking scheme based on multi-resolution property of Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) for copyright protection has been proposed here. The division of information of the cover image into sub bands of varying detail and thereby, application of Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) to an appropriate sub band has been performed. Consequently, alteration of its singular values with the singular values of the watermark which is also a color image of same size as the original cover image of 512×512. The imperceptibility and robustness of the scheme has been measured with Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Normalized Cross Correlation (NCC) values in the YIQ and YUV Color Spaces. High achievable values of the metrics validate the efficiency of the proposed scheme against the various attacks.
