Abstract
On the eve of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the outbreak of entermorpha prolifera in Qingdao offshore areas threatened the hosting of Olympic Sailing Games directly. With the aid of the TERRA/AQUA satellite data, we realized the entermorpha prolifera disaster monitoring. In this paper we will introduce the method and the flow of entermorpha prolifera monitoring. There are mainly three steps: 1)analyze the spectral characteristics of the entermorpha prolifera and the background water; 2)utilize the Vegetation Index Model and GIS(Geographic Information System) to extract the green alage information; 3)get the statistics of the information of entermorpha prolifera distribution, polluted area variations, etc. This method realized the estimation and prediction of the influencing region and the time trends of entermorpha prolifera, thus provided adequate decision support for the control of entermorpha prolifera.
