Abstract :
In this paper, a pulse compressor operating at 10GHz is realized using just 2 meters of a connectorized bismuth-oxide highly-nonlinear fibre (Bi-HNLF). We further present the complete phase and intensity characterisation of the compressed pulses using a linear form of frequency-resolved optical gating (L-FROG) based on a commercially available lithium niobate modulator.
