Abstract :
This paper describes an semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) and Lyot filter based multiwavelength actively mode-locked fibre ring laser. This laser is capable of producing 18 mode-locked wavelength channels each containing a 2 GHz repetition rate pulse train having a pulse width of approximately 95 ps.
