Abstract
In this paper, a generalized characteristic equation for finding the TEn0 mode eigen values of displaced asymmetrical ridge waveguides is derived based on transverse resonance method. The eigen values calculated form this analysis are compared with those obtained from ANSOFT´s HFSS-3D electromagnetic field simulator and found to be in good agreement.
