Abstract :
The analysis of two-tone third-order intermodulation distortion in the reflection-type attenuator employing FETs is presented for the first time. The validity of the closed-form expressions is verified with experimental results at S-band. The technique can be extended to millimeter-wave applications and another circuits which employ the RTA as a basic building block, such as the phaseshifter, bi-phase modulator and vector modulator.
