Abstract :
A method for echo cancelling in a screened room is presented in this work. The method obtains an Antenna Under Test (AUT) radiation pattern in terms of a set of infinitesimal electric and/or magnetic dipoles, placed on the surface of a volume containing the AUT. For this purpose, some measured near-field samples taken around the antenna and a genetic algorithm (GA) based optimisation process are used to find the set of dipoles that best fits the near-field samples. Radiation pattern can be estimated for the AUT using this set of dipoles.
