Abstract
Steganographic technique is a means of covert communication and needs to satisfy two basic requirements--good security and high hiding capacity. The capacity of different hiding algorithms may be compared directly, but there are few methods suitable for analyzing their security. In this paper, the DC and AC DCT coefficients of an image are fitted with Gaussian density and generalized Gaussian density respectively. And a model is established to evaluate the security of steganographic techniques. Experimental results are provided as the model´s application to the analysis of the security of the popular embedding techniques in both spatial and DCT domain.
