Abstract :
This study has successfully demonstrated a compact system of wavelength tunable femtosecond (fs) soliton pulse generation using optical fibers and fiber laser. In this system, the generation of approximately 90 fs ideal soliton pulse at a wavelength from 1.57 to 2 mum is demonstrated. Since the optical wavelength can be changed continuously only by varying the fiber input power, and the output pulse is stable, this system is very practical as a wavelength tunable light source.
