Abstract
Methods and means for detecting chaos and hyperchaos in nonlinear electronic circuits are summarized. The Lyapunov exponents, the Lyapunov dimension and the Poincare maps are used to confirm hyperchaos in an autonomous hyperchaotic oscillator. The hyperchaotic oscillator circuit is described by a set of four differential equations. Results from simulation of the proposed oscillator fully coincide with experimental results.
