Abstract :
With the development of wireless communication system, long-range precise channel prediction is considered to be more important. Traditional predictors require a lot of pilots and their performances degrade very fast after the correlation time, especially in high speed mobile environment. A new parametric channel predictor, CPREI, which is based on the auxiliary environment information, is presented in this paper. This new method can reduce the number of pilots and improve the prediction length. From the evaluation with real measured data, this predictor outperforms the former auto regression (AR) predictor.
