Abstract :
Based on an ESD immunity test platform defined by IEC 61000-4-2 and with the contact discharge, the peaks of coupling voltage and current, which induced in a printed circuit board (PCB), were measured at different discharge voltages. Through the data these rules were found, they are: the peaks of coupling voltage(Up) and current(Ip) are linear to the discharge voltage(Uesd) in the range of -0.3 KV~-4.2 KVand 0.3 KV~4.2 KV, that is: Up=a1Uesd+b1; Ip=a2Uesd+b2. In addition, the trend line of Up and the output impedance of a coupled circuit in the PCB under test were provided in this paper.
