Abstract
In order to detect and evaluate network security threats more pertinent, a method for classifying network security threats is proposed based on the analysis of the technology challenges for classification theory and the limitation of related work. On the basis of multi-dimension structure, detailed hierarchical subdivision is given. This method can defines network security threats accurately because of its good universality and expansibility. This study guiding the identification and detection of threats faced by networks has laid a foundation for the research on countermeasures for network disaster tolerance.
