Abstract :
We examine the effectiveness of signal prediction and spectrum extrapolation techniques for the acceleration and enhancement of numerical simulation algorithms for microwave circulators. Different prediction approaches are applied to the analysis of triplate circulator structures in combination with an extended three-dimensional FDTD algorithm for ferrite loaded microwave circuits. The advantages of signal prediction and spectrum extrapolation methods concerning accuracy and calculation speed are discussed and evaluated.
