The Community of Practice´s Strategy for Chinese Government

Community of Practice (COP) is an emerging theory in the knowledge management field, analysis and discussions involving the COP stay mainly in the context of enterprise knowledge management. Introducing the COP concept into the governmental management area represents the essential pursuit of government management innovation and the strategical option of the government in line with the current development trend. At the end of the paper, the author aims at discussing the pending problems the Chinese government faces in the cultivation mechanism, and sincerely intends to start further discussion on the issue of the COP in government.
