Abstract :
The selected directed broadcast is specified in MIL-STD-2045-14502-1A in order for the source to send a message to multi-destinations. The performance of this multi-destination protocol is compared to single-destination protocol using 16 kbps SINCGARS radios running in packet mode. The OPNET simulation study shows that the multi-destination protocol outperforms single-destination protocol with and without the acknowledgement service from segmentation/reassembly (SAR). It also demonstrates that it is better to send this acknowledgement using a higher precedence without the link layer acknowledgement
