Abstract :
Reinforced concrete frame columns are critical load bearing structure members, once the damages occur, a certain part even the entire structure will get major destructed and lost, and if things go seriously, the collapse of whole structure will happen. The reinforced concrete frame columns, being applied in the field, often subject to lateral bevel loads, therefore causing biaxial bending and bilateral shearing in sections. By experiment and research, reinforced concrete frame columns with different amount of stirrups in two principal axes were studied by the method of quasi-static test, this paper obtained hysteresis curve, skeleton curve, ductility coefficient and failure mechanism of the reinforced concrete frame columns, providing reliable theoretical basis for the design of reinforced concrete frame columns.
