Abstract :
In order to improve the efficiency of accident processing in steel plants, the expert system for steel plant accident processing (ESSPAP) was established. In ESSPAP, knowledge was acquired from experts in manufacturing management, production operators, anticipation plan manuals, and logistics control models. The knowledge was represented by semantic network. Moreover, the nodes in the semantic network were expanded into two-dimensional and three-dimensional frames. Accident anticipation plans were represented by production rule. Reasoning strategies and search strategies were used to knowledge reasoning. Two evaluating indicators (coverage rate and accuracy rate) were put forward to assess ESSPAP. According to the simulation results, ESSPAP has higher response speed (≤10 s) and accuracy rate (93%) than steel production management experts. ESSPAP can improve the efficiency of accident processing and reduce losses caused by accidents.
