Abstract :
The photothermal deflection technique have been used to investigate the thermal and optical properties of the SiO2/GaN opals. Two configurations of the technique were used to study separately the thermal and optical properties. The first configuration was used to obtain the thermal diffusivity of the samples. The second configuration was used to study the absorption spectra of the samples.
