During the past years, there has been a significant increase in the attention on the activities of knowledge-intensive business services (KIBS). Innovation capacity, especially knowledge production and diffusion, makes KIBS become an important element of cluster innovation systems. In order to better understand KIBS within clusters, this paper discusses the roles, functions and mechanism of KIBS within cluster innovation systems by given the types of KIBS in clusters in detail.
