  • Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to introduce the upcoming Version 3 of the Polynomial Toolbox for MATLAB. Researchers within the algebraic control community have been extensively using the Polynomial Toolbox for many years to implement their control design ideas or to process practical control applications. The upcoming new version features many new functions and concepts that were motivated by the users´ demands. Next to a brief overview of the Polynomial Toolbox features and functionality, the report contains a case study of the H2 controller design for a MIMO fighter aircraft using the Polynomial Toolbox 3.0 tools. A new approach proposed recently by Kučera has been employed instead of the traditional H2 polynomial routines of the 1970´s and 1980´s.
