Abstract
Electric vehicles are expected to become widely adopted in the coming decades. Electric mobility will however increase electricity load and will thereby impact the electricity grid. This impact is associated with high costs and potential nuisance. Many uncertainties make it difficult to anticipate to the impact on the grid. In this paper a method, based on local demographic characteristics, is suggested to calculate the expected impact of electric mobility on the local electricity network. Next research steps include the creation of different energy and charging deployment scenarios to be included in the impact calculations.
